About Us

The “Coalition for the Common Defense” is a group of like-minded local and national organizations, grassroots leaders, and individuals committed to the Constitutional imperative to “provide for the common defense” and returning the United States to sensible fiscal principles without sacrificing its national security.  In the wake of the recently-enacted “Budget Control Act of 2011,” the group seeks to counter potentially devastating reduction of the nation’s defense budget, as the level of cuts required by that legislation puts the nation’s security in serious jeopardy.  We call on elected officials, candidates for office and others who share our commitment to the common defense to join us in returning the United States to sensible fiscal principles without sacrificing our national security.
