The nonprofit Center for Security Policy issued reports detailing the impacts 2013 budget spending cuts would have on defense businesses in each state.

Defense funding cuts of 9 percent and 18 percent were calculated in the report. Florida’s prime defense contractors made $13.34 billion in 2011, a written statement said. Defense spending cuts would cause revenue losses for the state’s defense contractors totaling $2.40 billion.

The report shows that from 2013-2021, the 18 percent annual revenue cut would result in a $773.1 million loss for Orange County and a $335.5 million loss for Brevard County.
